Yesterday was just a riot..that's the only way I can put it. I spent
the afternoon with Jeff checking out the TourMaster head, Rebel and the MOD50 with a bunch of modules. We also had the 4x12 cab
and a 112 cabinet to try all the gear thru.....
The TourMaster head is very cool. Kind of set-up like my old MICA
TOL100 head. There are alot of great tones available here. One of
the cool features is the Contour control- It really does have a big
effect on all 4 channels. It was very cool on Ch.1 for the clean tones, adding a nice almost acoustic sound on top of your sound.....
The Rebel.....I just can't say enough about the this damn thing!!
If Guitar Center does'nt sell a ZILLION of these things this summer
somethings wrong....I just couldn't believe the tone this thing has,
and we played it thru both the 4x12 and 112 cabs. I really don't
know why you could'nt play small gigs with this and a 112 cab. We
switched back and forth from the EL84's and the 6V6's and at lower
or cranked volumes they imparted their own character to the sound.
O.K...I'll shut up about the amp the size if a lunchbox......The only
other thing I want to mention is the Ty Tabor module....Jeff really
nailed the true Ty sound here, and it shows itself in both channels.
Thru a MOD50 all the sounds were there with just a little tweak
and a bit of a turn of your volume know on the guitar...If you ever
get a chance to go see Jeff at the shop play this module, and then
get one on order from him NOW........

More info on Tabor module?

is it like crunch/lead?

Is it smooth like the SL2?

Is it screaming like the EG5?

I need to know!

Most definitely,as the Rebel is a given :D

More to come on the Ty modules once everything is finalized. I can tell you all that he is full on Egnater this tour: 6 4x12, 2 M4's with Franks custom built guitars with MCP in them! Cant wait for the video shoot on June 5th and the Vulgar display of power article in Guitar player about his rig! Oh ya and our cabinets will be the back line for the Rock camp portion of the Extreme Kings X tour. That will be featured on VH1!

Lukatherfan...tell them if the 'Tone Bra's work or not!

I'll speak for them, most definitely! I recently removed mine to see what kind a difference it would make and it absolutely does as advertised! Needless to say, it's now back on the cabinet. :D

I want a rebel...oh, oh, oh and an E2 too...oh oh and one of those nut-shelling squirrels too

The Tone Bra is the coolest....We had an Egnater 4x12 w/Vintage
30's and the results were awesome. The Tone Bra wiped out the
brittle-ness from the Vintage 30's without any sacrifice in the
overall tone......a must have for your Egnater or other cabinets....

My 2x12 has got the bra add-on...sounds great. Right now I'm running in half-tit mode (one on, one off)...it's like having two different speakers on the go...a raw v30 with maybe a WGS v30 or old broken in v30...nice!

Sounds absolutely smoking in that second clip! It was impossible to determine anything from what that guy was playing in the first clip though.

Yeah, I will definitely own one of these when they are available. Any have any info or specs on the accompanying cabinets pictured in those clips?

Smaller sealed 1x12 that is ported...a bit larger than a boogie. Not sure on pricing yet, I think somewhere from $250 to $325 a piece.

Awesome! How does the variable power knob compare to say, the power scaler on Suhr's Badger head? Is it similar technology? I'm really digging the simple "Watts" label BTW.

I think I need a tone bra, what the hell is it? Is it like the Manzeer or the Bro?

High end diffuser. It is placed in front on the center of the speaker cone so that the speaker sounds the same all around and there is no piercing spike of high end in the center.
