Better by quite a bit IMO. Every channel is better for my tastes.

No reverb. See post #2. That clip has a reverb plug from Logic.

Alright lads, seems the party's already started..!! Hats off TM to throwing down some tasty clips right off the bat, man, that's truly awesome. Nice licks, nice choice of toonage to exhibit the amp's characteristics. Seems to me there's a great deal of pick sensitivity... Beautiful fluid sustain... Very nice. The clean sounds uber crisp and dare I say, a bit 'sparkly'. The crunch seems to have a hella more than just 'crunch'

Awesome. THANK YOU!!!

Reza...?? Where you at Brethren!?!?!?

Actually, not holding my breath. I think Reza may be down for the count gentlemen

Peace,
Mo

Alright, now that I've caught my breath, a few thoughts. Hagen vs. VH4:

Channels 1. They are both very nice. Nothing to see here, move on.
Channels 2. The Hagen is less bloated sounding/feeling IMO. Very nice and responsive sounding. Awesome crunch.
Channels 3. This is where its at for Diezels. The Hagen is very similar to the VH4, however, it has more juice/saturation available. To me the VH4 is a bit of a tease. Sounds great, gets you right to the edge, and then you need 10% more JUICE. The Hagen delivers. Current VH4 owners will know what I'm talking about. The Hagen can sound exactly like the VH4 but not vice versa. All IMO of course :D
Channels 4. Again somewhat similar but the Hagen is just 5-10% better IMO. The Hagen just holds together better even with gobs and gobs of gain.

I am spliting hairs to the nth degree here. They are both amazing amps. I just feel the Hagen is exactly what Peter wanted it to be. The next evolutionary step of the VH4. It really is, to me, a tricked out VH4.

The Herbert is a different being all together. Apples and oranges.
