Great show. Had the chance to play Sambora's 1959 Les Paul and check out his rig. So many killer vintage Les Paul's, Strats, etc. He used four Friedman BE's and they sounded great. His only cab onstage was a Friedman 2X12. A big thanks to those who made this happen! Pics:

Nice! I've been trying to get a rig walkthrough for the Gillette show here in July but no luck so far.

Fairly low stage volume with those amp settings. Is he sending one the BE's to an ISO cab or DI'd?

A local radio personality was at the STL show this week, said it was one of the better shows he's seen.

That looks like a real 59' LP, not surprised Ritchie is sounding so well with the BE-100's.

Awesome!

Someday I'll be Saturday Night is one of the greatest ballads ever penned. Glad to see it on the set.

awesome!!! richie has always been a monster live!!!

nice stuff

Awesome man!

Great looking Les Paul and the rig looks like a dream to play through.

I remember seeing that rack at TM. Very cool. Boy, I use to be a huge fan, but I didn't know a lot of those tunes.

That is great you got to try the LP!

Great tune! I've never thought of it as a ballad though.

Yeah man...I now completely get the vintage thing after playing that one. Very special guitar. Tak also showed me a Dave Johnson refinished Les Paul of Richie's that was in the ballpark with the 59. I'm going to try and pick one of those up soon...

I am not sure Bro. One BE went to his on-stage 2X12 cab. The other BE's were marked FOH #1 & FOH #2.

Let's get some details on that Les Paul that was refinished and in the ballpark of the '59!

OK, makes sense. Keep the stage fairly quiet. Send the other amps direct to FOH. Probably a great sound out front.

Any Palmers or anything to send to FOH? Or maybe he had an iso cab?

Always thought Sambora was underrated. Solid player, tasty solos, good tone. I still jam out to some stuff off of Slippery When Wet from time to time.

I was checking out some rack photo's. Didn't see anything racked for DI. Could be using some small Palmer boxes or ISO cabs. What I did find though, is Richie doesn't have much loyalty. Anything for an endorsement ride works for this guy. Good guitarist though.

Whores like us......

Yeah,
He has used a lot of different amps, personally I liked his Diezel phase

Like to hear the Friedman set-up though...keep thinking about a BE 100. Almost pulled the trigger a few months ago, but have been waiting for
