Last I heard Rita gave away all the Deans to Elloit and I heard she is planning on selling off all his other gear? Anyone know if this is true? :confused:
 
Just remembered, I always wanted a culprit too but there aren't that many. I saw one not too long ago for dirt cheap but I was broke :doh: :doh:

So Elliot the owner of Dean guitars did not end up with the Dime From Hell and the Far Beyond Driven Brazilburst? :confused:

I am asking because I dont know I just remember hearing it online...
 
yeah, he's got them, but they are just "on loan", part of the whole endorsement deal, when the deal is up, if they don't renew, they'll go back to Rita.

They need to do 1:1 perfect relic copies of both of those guitars while they still got them. I cancelled my order for the 2004 Dean from Hell when I found out they were changing a bunch of specs from the original. They had a pic of Dime's real Dean from Hell on the website when they were taking orders and it was marketed as if it was going to be exact. Then they recessed the Floyd and changed a few other things so I cancelled. :thumbsdown:
 
Yeah the Dean stuff is just kinda fucked lately, they NEED to try and do what their customers want, instead of what they "think" they want, and they REALLY get on the QC of their import stuff. I know a couple of EX Dean guys who are REALLY disappointed in their more recent stuff, both import and custom shop.
 
I heard that was part of the reason Dean Z left was they did not share the same vision when it came to quality.

Those Korean made MLFs were bad ass guitars after you upgrade the hardware, the newer ones not so much. :thumbsdown:

I've had a few of them, not impressed, would rather pick up a Washburn if I wanted an ML shape, hell thats the only one I have left is the Dime333. ;)

But why does he have the neck pickup taped in both sides?
 
my guess would be that since he would pull that bar as far up as possible in all positions, as in holding the guitar regular, flat, upside down, etc... kept the low strings from snagging as well.

just a theory.
