Roger that! Thanks Mark. I've been enjoying your videos, especially the Fractal ones (it's good for me to watch videos of people playing the same or similar rigs to me... I spend less money that way!) And Justin's been a recent find for me as well. His Shiva OD tone is just plain killer...
I've got a Duncan Alnico Pro II in one strat and a Dimarzio AT-1 in the other. For an all-purpose, versatile rock guitar, the AT-1 slays. Great full humbucker sound without being too much, splits better than the Alnico Pro II, and great dynamics. This pickup is a winner in strats!
Ooooh, Martin... I'm also very curious about the WGS Invaders. I've heard that M75 owners speak very favorably of the invader, as if it's a poor man's version. As a poor man, that excites me some!
Hate to state the obvious, but all knobs to noon pretty much kicks ass. I usually run my with the mids ducked back just a little as my guitar is very mid-centric. Sovteks for tubes, Jeff Bober says so.
Hey Guys - Sorry to steal the thread for a minute, but I've got a like-new Sahana in the Emporium at The Gear Page. If anyone is interested in snagging it at 40% off new, now's your chance. https://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... ?t=1025136
I still think The Black Crowes "Freak n' Roll" is a textbook vintage rock live album. It's just perfect. Recently I've been kickin' it to The Elms "The Last Band On Earth" live record. Check it out at TheElms.net. KILLER Les Paul > Plexi tones.
1. Budda Superdrive 30
2. Mesa Triaxis
3. Voodoo Amps Jose Mod Traynor Bassmaster
4. Port City Sahana
5. Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue
I think the one I miss the most is the Triaxis. If this beast had knobs and a global EQ, I'd have never strayed. But, it also doesn't do the marshall thing...
My SD30 is a series 1 with both a head shell and a combo box. Generally, I keep the chassis in the combo but I usually run it through a Marshall 1960bx with greenbacks.
Mike - could you talk about this a bit more. I am also very curious about this, as JB strikes me a tone-junkie. The audience hears the Palmers, then? how are the palmers set? Are the cabinets producing the same massive stage volume? This is so curious to me...

Hi Dave - I'm looking for the right amp to send you for modding. For the most part, i'm a one-channel guy... but occasionally I'll have a piece that requires a good clean sound or an abrupt change in tone that benefits from channel-switching. Are there any 2 channel amps where you can do the...

Jerry - So a "Jose Mod" involves adding a clipping diode to the circuit to increase the gain? I find that so interesting as, for the most part, clipping diodes are frowned upon. But, the Jose Mod is the pinnacle of all things awesome and marshally. What makes the Jose Mod different in...
