It figures, the one time I get a new guitar from Sweetwater, and don't get it Plek'd (price is now $300) I discovered my Charvel had a high fret. I got the Fret Kisser from StewMac and some fret-polishing tools and gave it a shot. Turned out it was easy enough. A couple of minutes of noodling-

I was actually looking for a JB Strat before he passed. Got this from Wildwood. Easy setup and plays like a dream. This is about my 5th or 6th JB Strat. Gonna keep this one. Added an old recording from the early 2000s of me trying to play The Pump on a similar JB Strat.

Wanted one of these and for months it seems they were only available w/ Rosewood fingerboard. This one showed up at 7 1/2 lbs so I grabbed it. Took a bit to set up. Killer Strat.

Got me a Pete Thorn sig in Garnet Red. The guitar checked all the boxes for me. When you take the guitar out of the case and it flat out is set-up perfect that's always a good sign. I didn't have to touch a thing.
