I turned on my 50 watt 5153 today and no sound. There was no pop and there is no burning smell. Checked fuse and it is ok. Put headphones on through headphone jack, nothing. Tubes are maybe 5-6 months old and I only play a few hours a week. Any ideas? Thanks!

Time to change the tubes in my Laney Pro Tube Lead 50 combo and I want to use the same tubes which are Electro Harmonix EL 34EH. Is there any way to tell if they are hard, soft or medium? No markings on the tube other than EL 34.
