:55 second mark - Man Slayer always found the most haunting and eerie use of those single note tritones shapes...Just plain evil. They are the best at what they do.

i found a good backing track of this song and then i wondered "shit, what if Slayer used iic+'s with metallica settings?". well i gave it a fucking whirl. sounds kinda cool

Agreed, this sounds better than the album’s tone. Much more punch and cut, not as wishy washy in the mids.

there is a backing track for that and a bunch of others with the same drums, maybe ill give that and some other old ones a shot too

One thing Jeff and Kerry were definately known for was pushing those Marshall upper-mids right to the threshold. It's not for everybody, but it cuts and has a lot of attack.
