Sounds like you are a cab/speaker junkie like I am—I’ve got an EV loaded 2x12 as well. I agree 100% about x pattern mixing, never liked it. My idea of a perfect weekend afternoon is swapping 5-6 different cabs through the same ampMy two main cabs for over twenty years was greenback / V30 and G12H-30 70th Anniversary / V30.
To me they are plenty tight with the right amp but I don't play right metal. I like more chunky stuff. I like mixing Reds wirh V30s, CL80s. Worried H75s will make it too brash and harsh.
Even my Greenback and M65s are plenty tight.
