I generally use it with an Uberkab (2 V30s & 2 75s in an X pattern) live and at home a Satellite 2x12 with 8ohm Lynchbacks. After playing the prototype at Namm last year I was curious how much the Fane element came into play. I contacted Mike and posed the question and his response was that the head was designed and prototyped using a cab with V30s for reference.
For my purposes I think I favor the Lynchbacks a little more. However, I do have a cab at a friend’s shop with a pair of Redbacks in it that I have not yet played the Maxwatt through. With their more neutral voice (more Fane-like, perhaps?) this might be the ticket.
