Found out tonight that two of Bragg's top assistants had threatened to go public
with the evidence if he hadn't followed the grand jury verdict and indicted.

Find out how the grand jury voted? Not familiar with the law I take it.

They voted to indict - which means that based upon the one-sided case presented by the DA they believe a crime was committed as defined by the law given to them by the DA which could be proved in court.

That is why it is said that the DA can indict a ham sandwich if he wants. The presentation is behind closed doors. The defendant is not present and is not allowed to listen or watch. The defendant has no lawyer or other person representing his interests in the GJ. It is by law a completely one-sided affair.

Bragg ran for DA promising to go after and indict Trump.

So its not like he got into office looked around and went - uhoh we got something here! It was fore ordained.

Does not mean there isn't a case because none of us know the evidence. But if anyone thinks a grand jury indictment - particularly this one by Bragg - means slam dunk guilt then they don't know what they are talking about.

The grand jury is not a "jury of your peers" - far from it. And we are talking one of the most pro-Biden districts in a pro-Biden state. The chance of a pro-Trump person is not great.

Re Daniels and Cohen - those two are the essential witnesses against him so of course they go against them - that's how it works in every case in history - you go after the essential witnesses. As it turns out, in this case one is a prostitute and admitted liar the other a disbarred attorney and admitted liar. Doesn't mean they aren't telling the truth but to suggest it is a sign of desperation to go against them is telling of your lack of understanding.
