Is a 16" bar big enough? If so, try the Milwaukee cordless. No gas, little to no maintenance besides the blade.
Yep. Bought a new carb off Amazon for my Stihl weed eater. Worked for 2 weekends. Tossed the whole fucking thing in the trash and bought an Echo. My last Echo lasted over 10 years. And brother, I have a lot of riverbank and heavy brush I weed eat. I spend about 3 hours every weekend just on the weed eater.Shit bro that’s an easy fix….carb probably needs cleaning. Sounds like your floats stuck. For my weedeaters I usually just by a new carb…cheap as fuck on Amazon…
If you clean it you will have to adjust it. The left screw adjusts the idle and the right adjusts the fuel rate under load….
I am pretty sure Echo does also but I know Stihl has a professional line if you want a top quality, lifetime level saw but be prepared to spend what you would on a fairly nice guitar. Unless you are going to spend a lot of time with a saw it's not really worth it IMOI remember these real deal logger dudes I knew were all about Jonsereds, I guess that company went out of business though.
This is the most insightful thing you’ve ever postedIs a 16" bar big enough? If so, try the Milwaukee cordless. No gas, little to no maintenance besides the blade.
Poulan is junk, but I have an old Homelite 330 that's still running great after about 30 years.I'm getting a Stihl after fucking around way too long with my Poulan and Homelite. The Poulan was gift from my father in law so I don't want to hurt his feelings but I gotta do what I gotta do. I also have a Ryobi handheld. Not really a chainsaw but similar. It is great for small branches because I can use one hand. Same design as my pole saw, same chain etc.
You need to pull apart the carb.one i have is a stihl 028av
it spits gas out of the carb and leaks and never idles
they are pretty expensive used on ebay, almost as much as a new ms250, is the 028 a better saw?
worth it to rebuild? thing never works well after new gaskets
people seem to really like old saws over new ones.
I bought an echo brushcutter and after one season the coil went bad. Easy fix but damn… never had any issues with my stihls…other than carbs.Yep. Bought a new carb off Amazon for my Stihl weed eater. Absolutely.Fuckin ethanol is what fucks everything up. It actually causes the fuel lines to break down and disintegrate. Fuckin hippies…

Yes, but also quality has dropped. In the 80's Echo equipment had 3 piston rings, now they use just one.Fuckin ethanol is what fucks everything up. It actually causes the fuel lines to break down and disintegrate. Fuckin hippies…
