Heh those recordings are from literally my first 20mins with it, pretty sure my guitar wasn't even properly in tune. I also haven't cranked it yet because I've got a toddler with a 730pm bedtime.
I did try out boosting it a bit; definitely takes them well but with a Skeleton Key and a Hellion in my arsenal at the moment I'll probably use the Wizard for medium gain more often.

I think that’s fake news tbh- the jubilee uses clipping diodes as a core part of its sound I believe

I can say having owned at the same time a 1987 Jubilee and 2016 Wizard MTL (now have a Hell Razor and had an MC), the wizards don’t sound or feel at all like the Jubilee’s. Maybe it’s like the SLO vs Recto’s where on paper guys say they’re almost the same or at least really similar, but still sound nothing like each other

You don't need to apologize. Some people shoot their wad on here all the time and have never ever posted a single clip. And if you ask them to whip out their cell phone and make a quick clip, they can't because phone clips suck.

I think the main reason is the outrageous prices... Not that there's anything wrong with super expensive gear.

What sounds good or bad to someone is entirely subjective though. I personally think Wizard MTLs sound terrible, but I don't play or enjoy modern metal. That's just my opinion.

Interesting! I had no idea- I’d say the mids on wizards are definitely way more in the hiwatt lineage than Marshall, but that could be the modification Rick did

Sounds great. Sounds like a high mid-spike in there that can't be dialed out. I can see the appeal for certain types of music.

I can hear a high-mid spike that can't be dialed out. For what I like, it would be the wrong amp. Plus, the prices are insane, new and used.
As far as clips, I got a YT channel with tons of clips.

I don't like friedmans, they're too smooth, and refined for me, but I would never say they're shit or bad, they're obviously good amps
I just would never pay that much for an overgained marshall flavor I feel like I can get with a pedal

The eq on hell razor is most powerful I’ve ever seen . I have the kids at like 6 . It can be dialed out . This amp is so strong wise it took me awhile to see all the sounds it makes . It’s wild and differbt then anything I’ve had

Every wizard I've played you have to eq really carefully depending on the rest of the rig around it - ESPECIALLY with pickups or pedals with a mid hump like a JB or 808, cuz it's already naturally really mid forward

Alright, here’s some quick and dirty, relaxed mid gain sounds.
MC2 with the Gain Boost turned off, Gain set around noon, Bass knob at 3:00, no boost:
Same tone, but boosted with a Dirty Tree on the TC side, set in a pretty subtle way:
