From what I’m seeing I don’t it was closed because innogator had agreed to anything, but who knows unless the mod that closed it chimes in and gives us the full story on why it was closed. Im

I wasn't a mod yet when this went down, but IIRC it was shut down because it became a shit-flinging contest.

I understand locking the thread, I think being deleted is the bigger question. While the PayPal investigation was ongoing as well. It was shut down after John reached out about having it repaired but I never communicated that to anyone so there was back channel conversations happening somewhere.

The fact of the matter is I sent John $1743 over two payments. I shipped back on my dime then received $1650 back because PayPal mandated it for the one payment I had protection on. As far as I'm concerned John has pocketed $93 that was part of the deal. No, it's not a life changing amount of money but it's also not how a deal should go down.

now you’ve got me lost really I think this is the only one of his post I’ve even commented on ever. I’ve never even bought anything off this site and probably never will due to the bs like this. Shits sad to see people who’s been here 20+ years ready to ruin their rep over it. At the same time though If your anything like the og seller once you beleive in something you definitely sticking to it lol but no man I’m no alt account and have no dog in this fight other than my opinion

The original pics show everything.

The crack was there ..and so was the chip.

I would not have purchased the guitar, because of this.....And remember it was dead mint.

The OP did not do anything wrong. Why does anyone have to start questioning whether anyone is an alt...or to post fucking clips. Who fucking cares.

This was a shitty deal. If OP would have been paying attention, it would have never happened. But it did. It was handled wrong. Period.

Regardless of friendships, or years known.

The fact that everyone assumes the buyer is in the wrong is fucked.

So many red flags.

Good people can make mistakes. Good people can have poor eye sight. Good people can make emotional and poorly researched purchases.

At this point I'm not expecting my money back. But I do want people to be aware I was on the losing end of a bad deal here. As stated in the thread when it was live I'm happy to share anything that people want to know here... Chats, PayPal transaction log, packaging pics before and after, communication from luthiers I reached out to. I've yet to see any proof disproving any of my claims. I don't know if John doesn't grasp that I'm out money or just wants to deny it, and I don't know which is worse honestly.

Just found it odd that the member joined and immediately went to this and that other deleted thread.
Not really concerned about the rest of the deal or even this, tbh.
I would do business with John without hesitation.
That's me, though. Not an endorsement.

I would have bought that guitar off of you, but no responses. 🤷‍♀️

Some don't care to, and some of the demands get kind of old.

It can be a bit silly assuming everyone is an alt.

You do you, it's cool.

I don't take anything too seriously. Including this place.

My points are more about the general reaction of multiple users, in regards to this and assuming the buyer is in the wrong.

I don't care who does business with whom, it doesn't affect me.
