That's pretty much exactly how I set a RAT for my JMP. Definitely sounds good to me.Pic of Nuno's pedals (and settings) from back in the day.
Same here, for my RAT clone pedal. That's pretty much exactly how I set a RAT for my JMP. Definitely sounds good to me.
Yeah they do. Tuned to C with G12T75's. that's it.hatebreed uses tsl's right? Love their grrrchuggachuggas....
Yours? Pre '75. What year?Dig Nuno’s T-Shirt:
They sound good, sure. The DSL amps have always been killer and take boosts extremely well. No a shock at all to me that uses those. He has no need for internet cred .
That is my money pit: a heavily modified (‘ruined’ by purists’ standards) 1973. LS9, T-56, DSE. Living my best life today and expecting to be flat broke in my old age re-living memories!Yours? Pre '75. What year?
Awesome! Screw the purists. All that 2nd gen F bodies are good for is modifying. Enjoy it!That is my money pit: a heavily modified (‘ruined’ by purists’ standards) 1973. LS9, T-56, DSE. Living my best life today and expecting to be flat broke in my old age re-living memories!
Wasn't an SLO, it was a Soldano Super Lead 60, a Japanese precursor to the Hot Rod series, and there was a Boss Turbo OD before the amp.Because he got some insane tones out of one on the 3rd album .. "allegedly"

Vibroverb, 15” speaker, not sure about the Rat on that one, it’s possible. My man, always with the details.. TBH, those Hot Rod amps sound killer to my ears. I like them as much as the SLO's. Seem tighter. Less sag. So did he use the turbo OD in the same way as the rat? Is there a filter on that pedal? If memory serves me correctly, JCM800 and Turbo OD is the sound of Dio's Lock up the Wolves. Killer tones on that one too.
Now the Waiting for the Punchline album also has a kick ass tone. I think that was Fender Vibrolux and pedal?? People don't like to say " tone in the fingers" but come on people. 4 diff setups on those albums yet all tasty Nuno tone.

Wasn’t a reissue, it was a real ‘64 his tech Mike Keegan found somewhere and brought to him. He went on tour with a pair of reissues and no 4x12 cabs so idk if they used one in the studio either.Vibroverb reissue into a 4x12 and a microphonic preamp tube.
My favorite Nuno tone by far. The tones on Cynical and Hip Today are perfect. He should have stuck with that.
Yea I think you’re correct and I’m wrong here. I know the reissue came out right about the time/era of that album. I bought one of the RIs and not the same, but definitely needed an attenuator. Ouch.Wasn’t a reissue, it was a real ‘64 his tech Mike Keegan found somewhere and brought to him. He went on tour with a pair of reissues and no 4x12 cabs so idk if they used one in the studio either.
