Creamback 65/75

I have the chance of buying a Marshall 1960A with 2 Creamback 65 and 2 Creamback 75 in X-pattern. It's a 2 hours drive getting there, so I would like to know what you think about these speakers? I will mainly use them with my Splawn QuickRod 100.

I love the H75s. To me they sound best with fender based circuits but they also sound good with Marshalls and Trainwrecks.

I’m not as nuts about the M65. I feel like they’re a bit darker and squishier.

In my experience, speakers in an X pattern work best when you mix a mid heavy speaker with a mid scooped speaker I used to have V30s and G12H-75s in a Mesa OS cab and it was awesome. So if I were you, I’d keep the H75 Creambacks and then sub the M65’s with something more scooped.

The 75’s will overpower the 65’s; you will be hearing mostly the 75’s. Both are cool, IMO. 65’s are more old school (mid heavy, darker, break up more), 75’s more modern (tight & bright, more lows, cleaner but still has a good rumble to it).
