I think he sounds pretty damn good. Not totally faithful to to the originals, but damn good. Way better than the infamous Stern performance but that is to be expected.

Wife got me tix to see them next week. Looking forward to it, though I've seen Van Halen, Van Hagar, and Satch all at separate times. Hopefully it will be a fun show.

Not sure why Satch had to get a new amp made... Eddies basic tone is available in spades with either the Peavey or EVH stuff (or even Joes Marshalls). Unless they were just trying to avoid that direct comparison
