I know nothing of this new amp but I do know that Bogner has a history of releasing limited production pieces for the Japanese market only.

The "Frottage 50" is the model I'm waiting for.
Now that's funny!🤣

I needed a laugh. Or the Rusty Trombone Deluxe.

I have (I assume) the most recent Snorkler Mod Bogner put together. Very recently done and hoping to get a back up worked out for it. Instead of a JCM 800 I sent a JMP in and asked for additional EQ switches/boosts if possible. Things a fire breather especially engaging the different modes tossed in.

I’ll be looking at grabbing the production release to see how it stacks up. But I had recently an 80s blue board jcm800 212 Bogner modded that this killed as far as the options and gain level. The base tone was very similar though. Also have a version of the Snorkler mod Reinhold made for an artist and that thing is a pure gain machine with the updated modes it features 🫠. As it also has a normal and a high input.

Also have a XTC prototype jcm800 and that thing definitely a hard rock machine. Which it sounds like the Snorkler production release is around that level of gain nailing the 80s hair metal and Alice In Chains tones. I have a fish sitting here but was advised no need to send in for the Cantrell mod as they are very similar to the Snorkler mod done to older Marshall’s. The fish is just an optimized take on old Marshall sounds with that Bogner touch and a way better clean. The Snorklers and other Bogner modded Marshall’s all shared that organic chewiness and more clarity with amazing character snd harmonics the Fish has.

Some additional Bogner Amp porn from the previous post

It's pretty crazy how all roads essentially lead back to 2204/03 front end into plexi value filtering plus a few tweaks like gain circuits built into the amp. All just variations on a theme. If that is worth a few thousand each time to people, i guess there is a market.

Seeing as so many amp builders get to keep doing this thing and afford to eat it must be working lmao.

As long as they profile different and have their own flavors it’s worth me grabbing variants to profile. Everyone has certain combos of features and EQ choices that inspire them in different ways or they naturally gravitate towards to make their sound they already have in the mind.

Leon Todd, Fluff etc.. usual suspects. I now essentially only listen to Michael Nielsen. Seems like he doesn't need the money from schilling, just likes cool gear and usually writes a cool track to go with his release video.
Yeah Michael is great and he and I go for similar tones so if anyone is gonna make my trigger finger itchy, it’s him.

I’d have to think Reza has already played it.

Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing. Does yours have any controls on the back by chance? Mine has 2. I saw on the production amp it looked like 2 gain controls. I wonder how that will work.
