Not to drag this thread off topic but I've owned two Camerons (Ocean and Atomica) and honestly the Snorkler is one of the closest to a Cameron I've ever played. Probably because it's a plate driven tone stack on a Marshall power amp. That was one of the "secrets" to Cameron's mods -- he often changed the cathode follower tone stack to a plate driven tone stack in old Marshalls he modded. Honestly, I think the Snorkler is better because it's a lot more versatile but the Snorkler has the same kind of Cameron "thing" going where it's very high gain, very compressed, sustains forever, easy to play.

I don’t think either of those mods have plate driven tone stacks. All the Jose style mods. The Aldrich does though.

Not that it matters or takes away from your point

Yep... and the production Atomica wasn't even a Cameron design.

Was going to order the snorkler but got a 1.5 grano that I’ve been curious about for a while from Pat.

Snorkler will probably be next once some pop up used.

I want to try a Cameron, but people are out of their mind with current prices, so probably never will. Unless one of the modders out there does a clone at some point.

The Atomica I played was pure trash. Its the only Cameron I've gotten to play. I would bet that it sounds nothing like his other amps, or at least I would hope so for all the hype they get.

This is just a shitty iPhone recording I made this morning for @pipboy90. It’s a private video but figured I’d share it here for RTers! Enjoy forum brothers 🤘

Sounds pretty cool. I wonder if it could do some Naked tones. It certainly sounds like it could dialed in for a Perect Circle, Judith kind of sound.

Edit…😂😂😂😂 that”s what I get for posting before getting to 1:45 in the video.

Hey guys,

I'm working on the final video for the Snorkler and thought you guys might find this audio clip interesting... and probably not the song choice you're expecting...

Interested in any thoughts, opinions, etc. All parts are me except the backing track (vocals, drums, bass; no keys on this backing track).

No boosts or other front-end pedals were used in the making of this. Guitar straight into amp.

Effects on the weird parts come from AxeFX.

Speakers are a G12-65 and a V-Type. No EQ on the guitars.

Guitar is a Friedman HH Tele w/ a DiMarzio Fortitude in the bridge and a DiMarzio PAF Master Neck.

Headphones or studio monitors recommend. Listen Loud!

I feel you Dino. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything with 50w tho. I think the OG was 50w. You might be able to order a custom 100w tho 🤷‍♂️

I’m really happy with this amp. The tones I’m getting for this video are some of the best I’ve achieved.

And yes, I’m going to play Alice In Chains in the video 😅

Sounds great man.

I do think you should do a Judith cover with it because that’d be way bad ass. Dug your pumpkins cover a while back.

Dude, your raw demo, is a perfect example of when we see/hear a demo and when we get home and just flick the amp outta standby..
That’s what we pay for!
The first chord you ripped into had the
“Love Stink” in the mids & the crunch.
The Snorkler and a Ground Zero modded machine
are the #1 amps on my gas list.

Maybe there’s a nifty way to create raw off the cuff high quslity gear demo’s.
Like really honestly capturing the experience.
Sick amp!!

That sounds insane.. curious how it does with drop double E tunings and boost pedals, though it wasn’t made for that
