Let's talk about Pinch Harmonics :D Diezel VH2

Maybe some have a different vision of Pinch Harmonics...I don't know. For me they are important.

Harmonics are more technique than anything, but I do get what you're saying. Is the preamp tubes all JJ? Especially if in V1, they sound sterile. Livelier tubes certainly make a difference.

I have played amps that had great tone but are noisy. I have played quiet amps that sounded grating. I have played amps that gave great tone but have shit palm mutes and the opposite. But goddamn pinch harmonic tone? That is a new one. Your clip in the other thread was solid. But I cant sympathize with your issue.

The amp is probably just a bit too compressed in the highs. I won't bother with it, but send it back.

Thanks for the tip, but i don't think that would change the issue. I will simply stuck to my 2203 with all it's rough edges until the next GAS-Attack.
Here's me doing the Pinch Harmonics with a Hughes and Kettner Solid State Amp.
I played the clean channel with an Ibanez Smash Box on the European-Tour 2007.

I kept my Fingers crossed for you regarding your Larry, but now i think you couldn't appreciate it anyway- even if it's only half as good as people say - which i doubt- if it ever arrives. Rant is finished.
But i'm still looking forward to hearing some Clips. :D

I thought it was really easy . They sound great . Especially on the low strings . I really like what they did to the gain to modernize it

The video looks like you guys were killing it, but a bit hard to hear much besides the squealies. That said, you should grow some thicker skin and try not to be a dick. Techdeth is pretty cool and no need for you to get mad at people trying to help, even if it isnt needed. You are a good player, and if you dont like the pinch harmonics on the vh2 burn the fucker to the ground and get a fucking lenz. Lol. Then bring it over to my house so i can play it too

The Clip sucks. I just remembered the squeals. :D I don't know how it could be of help, when he basically said i'm too dumb to play pinch harmonics?
How could one take this not as offense?
I had an eye on Lenz' Amps, but i skip it for now. :D
Maybe i should go back to the beginning: Marshall 1959 SLP and a Boss DS-1 :D

Maybe i shouldn't have asked...as i already knew it anyway. I just wanted to give the amp a chance.
But i also wonder why the pinch harmonic quality of an amp is of such low interest for some. They seem to just don't care.

I think you're taking people too seriously. You're obviously a good player, most players would be perfectly happy with what you are getting out of it.

It's also probably not huge interest, because it takes a lot to write songs with tasteful use of that technique.

Lol. I get it. One could infer he was insulting you. I just know the guy, and he has insulted one person the whole time i have talked to him. And even then, it was tasteful. Mostly, he is just trying to help anyone he can, and he is a tone whore just like the rest of us.

Yeah...you are getting fucking nasty tones out of the marshall. No reason not to sd-1 that shit.
