h1b visas are also a discussion that's been needing to happen for a long time. I don't see it as a betrayal by Elan & Vivek or them battling Trump to the death like some of these useless NPC's are trying to portray it. It's the start of a conversation that's long overdue with hopefully a beneficial conclusion.

I guess these goobers with the all or nothing mentality have a hard time grasping the idea of rational thought & discussion to work on an issue. But when the go to has been pitch a fit until I get my way, conversation looks like the radical way.

Then the company who hires them is not a good company and will suffer when their product is no longer popular.

Exactly. He's had a weird cult following from the time he became a public face. Prior to the 2023-24 "he bought Twitter" free speech hero status it was the 2011-2012 "he's a green energy innovator". I knew a lefty at work that was a die hard fanboy. I had bought a couple houses in the time I've known him. "Did you look into Tesla's solar roof?!?!" he would ask me so much that I finally looked into it just to shut him up. It was all smoke and mirrors, there was no roof available for purchase. I've seen the same promo materials or whatever once or twice since then but I've never just drove past a house and said "oh look he's got a Tesla solar roof". It doesn't really exist.

Does anyone have a Tesla battery pack in their garage? Never seen that.

It's not that he hasn't improved humanity, but he's supposedly the world's richest man and he hasn't produced anything but a few junk cars and political manipulation. None of his grandiose stuff materializes. He's a grifter and I've thought that for going on 15-16 years.

When I was working, there was nobody that could replace my knowledge and experience.

I am saying that the H1B visa program takes good paying jobs from American citizens. Bernie, to his credit, get's this right. Trump used to, like here from the 2016 primary debate. He acknowledges the tension between what's good for American citizens vs. what's good for the select owners of these businesses.

Trump spoke about the H-1B visa program and said it was “very bad” and “unfair” for US workers.

“First of all, I think and I know the H-1B very well. And it's something that I frankly use and I shouldn't be allowed to use it. We shouldn't have it,” he said. “Second of all, I think it's very important to say, well, I'm a businessman and I have to do what I have to do.”
 
He has started/runs 2 prominent domestic manufacturing companies. Tesla dominates EV sales in the US, and SpaceX dominates space transportation (they handle like 80% of all stuff being sent into orbit these days with hundreds of launches). Manufacturing in the US is an extreme task.

I've seen a ton of talk about "Musk fanbois" but I've never seen any one that actually fits the description. Saying what he has done is impressive is not fanboi-ism and dismissing Tesla and SpaceX as nothing special is as fucking retarded as his want to flood the US with cheap H1b labor.
