Oh I was just taking the piss, as they say. I love Schecter stuff. 90% of my guitars are custom builds.

The V-1 and E-1 shapes are killer for sure.
Oh I see, I'm glad you wasn't genuinely concerned about owning a certain brand lol. Thats cool your other guitars are custom builds, how many guitars do you own?

Like 18 or so… somewhere in that area. I’ve recently stopped sticking my nose up at a few things. I got a Dunable DE Gnarwhal that’s pretty awesome as well.

Schecter is one brand whose stuff I gel with. Oddly I would likely never buy an LTD even though made in the same place by the same people.

Wow, you have a fair collection there mate!

Yes, isn't it world music co who make them? I myself own a LTD MH1000 that I bought in 2010 and must say it is a fantastic guitar, even better I got it at less than half the UK price by buying it from Canada and getting it shipped over. For some reason there were lots of LTD's listed on ebay by the same seller at the time that were super cheap.
I was worried I might have got scammed with a fake where the deal was so good, but sent ESP several photos of the guitar and the serial number and they confirmed it was genuine.

I'm also obsessed with the V-1 shape @Zado

I've been looking for a burgundy or black one forever on the used market lol

Same here, and that's funny cause that not-so-symmetrical shape makes no sense, but damn it looks so metal. I hope they'll make an affordable version in the future, but honestly I have few hopes.

The old affordable ones are going up in price so quickly I'm probably going to have to bite the bullet and overpay, unfortunately

I had a black limba hardtail when they first came out. The Wenge neck was smooth as silk. The stainless jumbo frets were as well. Sounded good too.

My issue was the narrower nut width and neck size. Not enough shoulder for me and it made my hand cramp when chording. Surprisingly heavy too. Great guitar though if those specs work for you.
Weird because a wider neck with more shoulder will make my hand cramp, lol.

I like the looks of it...From my experience most schecters need a setup outta the box. I've owned the KM6 and KM&7 mkII. I don't know if it was the bridge on the KM6 or the scale length, but I could never get it totally intonated. Drove me nuts.

Don't most guitars need a setup out of the box though if we are talking mass produced guitars? Also can scale length effect intonation then, meaning you can't get it quite right?

I was a brand snob for years. Now if it feels good, plays good and sounds good…fuck it-I’m in. Gibson has turned into a company that I completely disagree with on their policies of legal action on other companies. I was Gibson only for two decades. They probably got about 50k at least from me over the years. How fuckin dumb was I? Back to schecter… I think it’s a good brand and overall a good consistent product. All these years later I still want a c1 classic…

This is why I love schecter hellraisers so much.

As has been mentioned before, I am a giant human being (6'4"), and it's hard to find necks that work for me
I bet you have legs that go all the way up to that ass… any pics there sailor???

I dig the V-1s as well. And an E-1:

I lusted after Schecter hard when I was a teen in the early 00s. They had some really unique body shapes and I wanted a ton of them! I have a 5 string bass I've had since 04-05. It is built very well and has had zero issues.
That being said, I desire those more odd/wild shapes they were coming out with. They look cool enough still though overall to distinguish themselves but not like that era.
