I’ll go first. 1 piece alder body finished by MJT in a heavy relic Olympic white. Aged gotoh ge101ta bridge with steel block. 500k in position 1 on the bridge, 330k in positions 2-5. Pickups are bare knuckle true grit single coils and my ToneNers WD Forte in the bridge

Body is pretty much ready. Just waiting for the neck to arrive next week and I’ll put on the decal, darken the board and it should be ready to rip.

9.5 Radius
FAT C rear profile
(Neck thickness 1.00 at first fret 1.00 at twelfth fret)

I’ve got an HH Tele in the oven. I built it with this ‘chambered’ body but it sounds like a toy. So I have another body at MJT being painted right now. I’m getting a vintage blonde color and their ‘closet classic’ or whatever they call their most minimal relic (since they don’t do ‘no relic’). Sort of inspired by the TeleGib Seymour Duncan gave/traded to Jeff Beck.

The neck is a Warmoth roasted Maple/Rosewood but this neck has the worst frets I’ve ever gotten from Warmoth. One was not seated fully and way high. Lots of fret rockers so I’m just going to get it PLEK’d.

Wetsanded with Truoil then burnished with blue jeans. So smooth and buttery.

Pickups are going to be Zhangbuckers. A Pagey neck and a Crushbucker bridge. The Crushbucker is a different design, it’s huge. Like 1.5x taller than a typical pickup.

Love that neck. The Zhangbuckets are great. Did you get the “pure hand wound”?

I also have this incoming

I’m thinking about getting a Japanese Allparts roasted AAA neck

Have a few projects in a progress.... here’s the bones of a poor SG I’m bringing back to life. Someone decided to put a shitty overlay on the regular screened headstock... starting over, gonna shoot it with some sort of metal flakey color... suggestions?

They're all killer especially the last one. I'm a sucker for spalted maple.
Thanks. Yes spalted maple is a great looking wood for guitar tops. Although its quite soft and therefor not so easy to work with as it gets damaged very fast (first time i am working with spalted maple).

Those sg faded models are hidden gems. I love mine.
Got mine back when the prices were still good for $500. Put a little love into it, and bam, perfection.

I want someone to carve into mine, like a relief carving. I don't have the guts.

It makes me happy to see that there are several DIYers and builders on this forum.

These projects have been on the backburner for a bit. I'm hoping to get back to working on them soon.

This will be an Iceman Bass VI.
@NowYou'rePlayingWithPower. Being yellowheart this body is too heavy as is. I'm likely going to chamber it and use some of those flame maple billets you sent me as a top.

Mostly populated PCB for a Matamp GT120 clone. This is the HIlbish board. I'm still waiting on the PT & OT from Mercury that I ordered back in January to go further.

I've always liked the way transparent cherry looked on an SG.

Just recently finished this. Body and neck from Precision Guitar Kits, both black limba. Fastened with hide glue, and finished with French polished shellac. Very resonant and plays and sounds great with a thick, rich growly tone.

The spalted maple one looks awesome. How do you plan to finish it?
The plan is to keep it natural and just put a clearcoat on top. Before the clearcoat i guess i will have to also add some epoxy to stabilize the top a bit, as mentioned its quite soft.
As both the neck and the body wings on the spalted maple kelly are black limba it also is a additional reason to keep it natural since also black limba is a great looking wood.
