He finally countered at $1250. I shot back $1000, which is my max.

I don’t know what the market is for Jarrett guitars, but will just say I’ve bought 5 or 6 guitars from this seller in the past, traded an amp toward some of them, have been to his place and he was a very pleasant guy to deal with. For some items I got decent deals, for some he was very stubborn on price (some of those items are still sitting on his reverb all these years later), but that’s his choice. I’ll just say for business my experiences were all good, but they were all local pickup fwiw

Yeah low ball again, because it worked so well in the past

Hate low ballers, IF the buyer can show me I'm off on the asking price that's one thing, but they never can

I did. I showed him where the exact same guitar sold new for $1600, and where the rest of the brand sells for well under a grand. I made a fair offer based on its actual value, but it seems like a lowball offer based on his asking price. It's not like I'm asking $500 for a Les Paul, it's more like he's asking $2500 for a Chibson.

There’s a cheaper Jarrett on reverb anyway. Why not make an offer on that one?

We could all lowball him around $200 or $300 during a two weeks course then you could offer $900 again ? Maybe he will reconsider LOL

200w (2).webp

I was just looking at that ad again this morning, and the guitar is still sitting there almost 5 months after my first offer, and a month after my second. Third time's a charm?
Good luck scoring it BeZo. Nice guitars!!!

A bid is a bid. Better than nothing
