Yep. Most of the time they made a mistake - either looking up the wrong item, or misunderstanding "listed" price over "sold" price
 
I think 900 is disingenuous. If you really want the guitar, offer him 1000 again with a message that reads, "my offer still stands."

This. That's why I hesitate. I don't want to fight delusions. It is a one off "Premium" version of a model that wasn't ever produced, but what does that matter if it was made by "Some Dude" Guitars. It doesn't have resale value. It's only really worth it to me, because I (hope) I know what I'm getting based on the two that I have.

This is true, I got the shingles vaccine last week, and I can say with certainty that I am both insane and likely invincible. I think I was shot last week and the bullet just deflected off my skin. I also caught myself sending out like a ton of lowball offers. It’s definitely the vaccines.

I used to have a friend that would ask me to send lowball offers to ebay sellers to make his offer look better. In turn, I've asked my friends to do the same for me when I'm trying to steal a deal on something.
 
Have someone near you bid on it: offer 1100 shipped. If you offer again and he takes it, he is eating crow. That would be a tuff claw to swallow.
