Is that with the ash and walnut wings? Mine are all solid maple, and they are not light.
No it's all maple. Mine is the Mike Starr bass. I wouldn't call it light, but the '74 4001 is heavier.

I wanna cheer for the lowballer, and no ill will for doing so man, but I can't and that's why I'm poor.

I end up feeling bad, and prefer both sides feeling like it was a good deal.

Offer expired with no counter?
Yeah, you ain’t gettin that guitar lol. Even if the seller is willing to sell for that price, he’s probably thinking, “not to that asshole.”

Yeah. That's really where the title comes from. I'm the lowballer douch bag, even if I'm right about the value.

I'll just ask him again in a few months. It won't sell at his price.

Ah ok. I can honestly say I’ve not heard of this brand.
Yep. It's an obscure builder out of Connecticut who was trying to hit the boutique market, but got ousted for having pre-made body blanks made in China. He basically finished Chinese guitars in America and tried to pass them off as high end. His business folded a decade or so ago, and they fall farther into obscurity. They have no resale value.

The two I have play great, but I'm not trying pretend they are worth more than a few hundred bucks. His pickups suck, but with a JB/59, those guitars sound good.

I got no response from the seller. I'm going to try again.
I had some punk do that to me multiple times on an Edwards. He told me I need $1350 so I wound up bidding that and he still let it expire. Six months later I think he got 1200 bucks for it. Dumbass.

I'm thinking about tossing a $600 dollar bid at him. Or I could really play the game and offer like 1200 and then say I changed my mind if he accepts it.

Based on what he sent me the first time, he would fit right in in the OTC.
I can start pestering him with TGP level questions if you think it'll help break him down so you get your price. Ex:

"Sweet axe d00d what's the neck carve like on this bad boy?"

Polite about it? That son of a bitch already tried to lecture him like he is some sort of mentally deficient novice! I say we capture this guy!! Teach him a lesson in the ethics of guitar sales. Let’s rip his god damn finger nails out!!
I mean he found a comparable sale and went another 40 percent below that on his offer. I wouldn’t have lectured, but that shits annoying.

Hell there’s several guys here that have tried giving me lowball offers then when they list stuff themselves it’s all “I know what this is worth!”

Has an L6-S vibe going.
Don't know anything about the Jarrett guitars, but the similar Gibsons sit for sale forever at lower prices than that.
