MESA/Boogie® Mark IIC+ full demo & overview ft. Doug West & Tommy Waugh

My limited experience with individuals that build amps none of them rush anything.

    Solderless pickup changer things recommendations

I didn't have any size issues. I did spend some time getting the height right. I tried one other pickup in the neck. Bridge has never changed. Install was maybe a hour. Taper on the volume pot is good. Push- pull pots for the single coil is useful for me. I was basically replacing all the...

    Solderless pickup changer things recommendations

This is the only one I have used in a Les Paul. It was easy to use and sounded good to me.

    Amp break in?

I have had a few amps hand built and was around when a few amps when they were voicing the prototype. There is absolutely a break in. The sound and feel changes. Seemed to me the biggest change was in the first few hours.

The reissue sounds better to me in the clips than the original. A blind test would be less subjective.

    Let's see your current pedalboard.

I thought I was the only person using a ES-8 around here.

I also prefer the III and IV over the IIC+. Currently have a IV. But I like all the Mark series.

Tell me about the Mesa Mark IV

A is brighter. The difference between the two is not enough I would care.

They should of hired James Alan Hetfield to demo the reissue. Randall Smith was right. They can't make a IIC+. The real issue is obvious. None of these people know how to make a amp video.

MESA/Boogie® Mark IIC+ full demo & overview ft. Doug West & Tommy Waugh

I pretty much only buy NMV amps. I have not bought anything high gain since 2008. I still have a few of these amps. I bought them in the 80's and 90's. I haven't seen anyone play this type of stuff in about 25 years. Last time I listened to Metallica was 1989.

    Parametric EQ

Each slider is +/- 10 dB. The level knob is 6 dB of boost. I tend to fine tune so the range works well for me. I have not tried it in front of the amp yet. But don't usually boost that much dB.

These two are okay at best. Easier to watch than Glen. I don't think very many people play heavy guitar anymore. I quit decades ago. I don't know anyone that still plays that stuff. There must be other people that could do a video for this amp ?

Almost a year later the Ibanez PTEQ came in yesterday. So I sent a few hours with the PTEQ in the effects loop of my Fryette Sig X and Les Paul with Seymour Duncan Distortion and 59 with split coil. So far really liking it. Not a lot of noise with high gain. Controls have plenty of room around...

Does anyone do demo videos for heavy music other than Ola ? I don't know anyone that still plays that type of music.
