I have a rev blue and rev 2. I love both of them and I don’t plan to sell them. The rev 2 has that kind of tone (organic) that the blue doesn’t have. Sorry, I don’t know how to describe it otherwise. English is not my main language.
I would put the Uberschall in the ballpark of a recto (wall of sound) family. They have their own thing going on.
The Rev blue doesn’t have the organic side of the Rev 2, but it’s a cool amp boosted. I love it!
They still are Uberschall’s, just little tweaks here and there. The knobs are a bit...
Doing some tube testing with the Badlander and the KHE switcher. I notice tubes are dictating a lot with this amp. Some C8 in the preamp and Mesa STR-420 in the power section. In variac mode in gets closer to the F.
Imagine with a resonance mod!
I’m not familiar with the modded Marshall’s. I totally agree with Jeremy’s statement. Having a Rev D and Rev F, i knew it right away when I tried the Badlander. Modern take on a Pre-500. I also bought a Badlander hahaha.
Nothing to do with Larry. Being made or assembled in England, Covid 19 stopped the whole process.
As for the pedal itself (Maxon FAOD9), i bought one out of curiosity when it was released and i love it. The whole used market is ridiculous on many things these days.
Awesome video man, like always!
I was skeptic but curious about this one. I thought about buying the pedal early to get a signed one, so i wouldn't loose to much selling it afterward.
Haha i got screwed, it's going nowhere!
I know what you mean, i boost all the time and need something quick. Not really about modern vs classic but more about feel and quickness for me. Feel is important to me and going with a gate in the loop will affect that feel most of the time.
