Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

It's probable they're loading these with STR-445 RED which will be cold AF. Might be cold enough that (with careful testing) EL34 mode (hotter bias) could work.

Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

So the "funky mids" in the C+ reissue are, IMO, going to help it sit better in a live mix than the OG. The DR Multiwatt also has better mids for the live mix than older Rectos. IMO. If this Recto RI is Rev F-ish with those funky mids, it may also win the live mix battle. Just saying...

Talk to me about the Les Paul Moderns and Supremes.

I am currently leaning towards a normal Custom. A black one, because apparently the white ones are made on the USA production line because they have to use their paint booths for the white... WTF? I also went down the Axcess rabbit hole- SUPER cool specs, however I found out they are thinner...

Talk to me about the Les Paul Moderns and Supremes.

Yeah unfortunatley the Supremes are modern chambered. Which sucks because the one I was looking at was a stunner.

Talk to me about the Les Paul Moderns and Supremes.

Hold up- with these comments I just realized the new Customs are also weight releived. (and still 10 lbs LOL) So this is not the tone devil?

Talk to me about the Les Paul Moderns and Supremes.

Yeah I have been looking at the standard Customs. From what I can tell I think you're right, it'd be more up my alley than a RI custom.

Talk to me about the Les Paul Moderns and Supremes.

Doing some more reading, I'm seeeing that the Custom RIs come with a nylon nut. Almost $7K for a guitar and a nylon nut!?! WTF is that?!?! Anyway, seems like what I'm hearing is that the Moderns really do sound more.. modern, to the extent that if I was to compare one of those to a good...

Talk to me about the Les Paul Moderns and Supremes.

Not sure about raceu but I do, just picked up an 84 B and 86 A cab. So the last few hours I've been rabbit holing comparing these Moderns to Customs, regular + 57RI + 68 RI. Seems like most of the difference is in the PUPs. Maybe I need to take a trip to play all this shit. :ROFLMAO:

Talk to me about the Les Paul Moderns and Supremes.

@LP Freak hey thanks, yours does look pretty killer. For this purchase I am planning on using my Gear Card since it's empty right now, saving my cash for a pair of 1960TV cabs I have on backorder. So today I went to the local & played 10 or so LPs. Trads, 50s & 60s Standards, Classics, even a...

Talk to me about the Les Paul Moderns and Supremes.

Do they sound right? How's the QC? So I've never owned a Les Paul. I've played a few of them, and with their baseball bat necks and rosewood boards it's never been my thing feels-wise, though they definitely have "that" sound. A while back I was in a local store & picked up a new Studio Session...

Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

Just came across this on sevenstring. Happy to hear any clips available. Sad to hear another guy with a Gibson that can't chug. Looking forward to the guys who can save the product launch!!!

Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

The Dual MW is, and that's why it cuts better live than most (all?) other Rectos. The Triple MW however is more "scooped" and normal recto sounding, IMO.

AMPEG & MARSHALL vs LINE6 POD GO - DEATH METAL BLIND TEST

I think A sounded far better. That said I think B is real, it sounds like a bad mic position. For recording, as much as I hate to admit it, modelers and DIs are SO much easier to land on a good tone than micing a cab which is really it's own skill.

    Anyone remember the Peavey Penta?

Well, being a Peavey it will sound better in a live mix than say a... IIC+.

    Mesa/Boogie 90s Dual Rectifier - Official trailer

Making some 🍿 now.. The thing about the C+ RI is if I didn't have OGs, I would be proud to have a RI. However, I have OGs so.... I've gone & sold all my Rectos so the Recto RI is more interesting to me. I could get a Triple MW that's about a month old for $2K so that's the comparison...

Paging @killertone have you got any initial thoughts about a hypothetical new amp that may or may not be in your possession?

Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

Wow. Well I'm stoked the trailer dropped, and it seems like their Marketing department still hasn't learned much, or learned how to mic up for metal, although Dinesh allllmost got a chug out of it! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: @willcarter1210 1 hour ago I felt so stupid...

Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

I really don't think Wizards record very well, TBH. What they sound like 2" in front of the cone is not anywhere near as flattering as how they sound in the room. Possibly because of the thing I don't like about them, how dry & unforgiving they are...? On the other side of this, what you say...
