Personally I only rely on scientific testing, i run with an acoustitician buddy who compels me to use science instead of solely relying on subjectivity. (Ears)

Help me understand why you would use anything other than your ears (and/or somebody else's) to assess what you're hearing? If you can't hear it, why concern yourself with it? Tone is subjective so why not assess it subjectively? I know what I want to hear...not sure why I should care about the science behind it if it sounds how I would like it to within the context of a mix.

I initially decided to go for the new German Diezel 2x12. But I couldn't bring myself to drop $1400 for a 2x12 cab (hell, I wouldn't do that for a 4x12 either). So I switched up and got the Bogner OS. Will try it with the stock V30s. But will probably swap in some Mesa V30s with the T4335 or T4416 code.

Stephenson Amps ported 1X12's, sound every bit as huge as any 2X12 but doesn't break the back. Got two of them loaded with old EVM 12 L's that have been pimped. Two of those will hang with any 4X12. They sound massive. Wouldn't be my first choice for say bluesy stuff but high gain or super clean they rule.
