4x12 CAB SHOOT-OUT!!!

Which of these cabs do you guys think enhances the tone of the amplifier plugged into it more so that the others? Sounds good with most amps plugged into it? Well built? All of the above.

for what type of music? i haven't played thru much of the gear in your sig. i think splawn cabs are great for the $, plus you have different speaker options, color & grill cloth options.
bogner cabs are the highly regarded here. in a couple weeks, i'll get to A/B splawn, bogner and VHT cabs. should be interesting. it really depends on what you're plugging into the cab. i predict the bogner will win.

I have not played thru a Splawn but have played thru all the others and they are inferior (in my opinion) to the Bogner. I have NEVER found a better cab than a Bogner straight 4x12 cab. It's even as good / or better than every one of my OLD Marshall cabs I've owned.

Bogner. I have no intentions of buying any other brand of cabs anytime soon. It gets no better IMO.

Bogner, Splawn and Mesa Trad. are all great cabs. You really can't go wrong with either of them. You'd probably get the better deal on a used Mesa Trad. cab than the others. They seem to go around $600 used.

True, Keith. Some differences are that the Bogner rolls like ass, and there are no corner protectors.

I had both my Diezel 4x12s and my Bogner 4x12 (the one I sold to mctallica1) and they DO sound very different though. What I heard was less depth and a bit thinner sound in the Bogner. They were all loaded with V30s at the time. Don't get me wrong, they are both IMO the best cabs 2x12 or 4x12 I've ever heard or played through. If you can wing that cash, then don't leave any doubt.

+1 for the VHT FatBottom 412 cabs. I baught their Slant 412 version and compared it to the Marshall JCM900 straight side by side and the Marshall just couldnt keep up tone wise.
