Would you say these are worth the money compared to say..... a Splawn? Which is quite a bit cheaper.
I've never tried a Splawn so I'm not a good judge. The VHT cab is front loaded and is super tight. The new Voodoo cabs are rear loaded and they are designed with 75s in mind and even though I don't usually like 75s Voodoo seemed to dial out 98% of the irritating bite that most cabs with 75s have. It also seems to have more mids and is thicker sounding compared to cabs with the same speaker. I went with the VHT because I want the tightest low-end possible.

I had one and traded it to Tony Mctallica1 for my VHT 4x12. Those don't (or at least didn't at the time) come with V30s. I did put some in and it sounded like liquid beef. I would recommend not drinking too much while using it because if you would unsuspectingly walk in front of it while hitting a low E the low-end may cause you to shit your pants

Heh. I think you can order the Voodoo 4x12 w/ V30s now. I personally wouldn't, but hey some people really dig those speakers.

I think I should have put a Framus Dragon 4x12 in the poll instead of the Engl. Oh well, I think Bogner is winning anyway.

I vote for the Bogner 4x12. I have the slant version with V30's and that cab sounds great with whatever amp I use with it.

I have a Splawn 4x12, nice cab and well built but I think its more of hte V30's that I like than the actual cab :) The Splawn has guvnors and monwoars and suite the QR nicely

tough split between splawn and bogner for me...but i voted for splawn because they're cheaper, and offer more options

The EVH cab ranks right up there with my Bogners......great cab!

I don't know, I own a Mesa 4x12 Rectro which I bought in like new condition for $600 bucks & I'm too damn happy with it to go try & shell out money for some other cabinet. I've played Bogner 4x12 with V30s like Mesa & I think it was more mean on the bottom end & may be overall better cab, but didn't find it worth the price & yet it's arguable if it is better than Mesa, just a bit different I guess.

+1 Framus Dragon. Just picked one up for my mesa dr, sounds better to me then the recto cab.

+1 i agree and love the dragon cab.

engs and mesas are also great.

i'm playing my dragon with a blackmore at the moment and they sound great together

Out of all my cabs I have, I must say that I like my Bogner stuff the best. There are some GREAT cabs unlisted there. Mills Acoustics being one and the other is the brand new Diezel Front Loaded cab with the new speakers in them. I just got a pair and they are absolutely mind boggling. I can not wait to get them broke in. These cabs are very very nice for articulate metal.
