Also, for those who are interested in an answer, this "Alice" branded capo on Amazon works out for all of my 7 and 8 strings:
The packaging is hilarious. "Visit china-alice com to enquire the authenticity."
It will have to do for now. It's definitely cast, the spring is way overkill (likely to appease older reviews claiming it barely holds), and those two combinations don't seem to bode well for the already starting to rust hinge pin. The rubber material is also questionable, and won't be touching laquer anytime soon. Still waiting on the spider capo to arrive, but seems overly complicated for a simple task. I wonder if it's German?
