Hey Jaakko!!

Not much lol. That's pretty much it. We spent more time playing in clubs then recording. We were working a Deal with Jon Bonjovi's road manager but by the time everything was ready to go, The music style changed and we got the boot :D

My last show with the band was a charity gig in 91.

Yeah, Nirvana messed it all up for the rest of us struggling artist. :aww:

By the way, nice sounding tracks. I never did any recording in the '80's, but I might post a few '90's tracks that should have been in the '80's.

I can't believe only me and Ralph are posting our 80's tracks... C'mon guys, LETS HEAR 'EM...

Steve

I've got some stuff I can upload.....its more early 90's though. I didn't start playing until 1980......

Alright, alright. I'm encoding some MP3's.

OK, first one is a project I did with Paul Monroe from XYZ (drummer) and Gigi Hangach from Phantom Blue who did the "girl part" of the vocals on this tune. Most of the rhythm tone you hear is the other guitarists Rockman Sustainer IIRC, but I did squeeze 1 track of Furman PQ-3, Lexicon PCM-41, JMP Marshalls and Orange 4x12 cabs in there. The 1st part of the lead you hear is the other guitarist and then when the tone changes it's me. The engineer and I didn't get along after he spent an hour trying to get the harmonizer set up to double one of my solos when I kept telling him I could nail the harmony in 1 or 2 takes if he'd just give me a new track and press RECORD. He was the guitar player from that Swedish band Silver Mountain that Yngwie stole the Johanson brothers from so I think he hated all other guitarists.

Then we have a Hollywood band called Stone Heart that I joined after they were already weekend headliners. That was sure easier than building a band from the ground up. The bass player from this band went on to play with Doug Aldrich, Steve Vai, and recently played for Keith Urban and now some other platinum selling country artist Dieter something or other.

The whole solo is me on this one.

Stone Heart again and less poppy than that last one. I play the first part of the lead, then it switches to the other guy, then I play both parts of the harmony.

Here's one from about 1983:

Hey Chub! Im only able to play the first tune. Is anyone else having a problem or is it just me?

I have no pics luckily. :D

But here's an ad that played in my High School in 1987 for a gig at an all ages club...almost the whole school showed up...freakin' cops everywhere...ah good times.

The year we graduated HS (we were all 18 so we had to have fake ID to play in bars) we got booked on a tour across Canada...this is from the Canadiana bar Winnipeg 1987.
Have mercy on me, I had only been playing for about 2 years, I was a huge Randy Rhoads fan back then, pick squeals everywhere. :D...the drummer was great for his age.

Cool stuff man - there should have been only one guitar player in those bands though - you were clearly on another level in comparison to the other guitar players. Vocalists were really good...

Steve

Ralph, on your Lee Jackson Marshall, did you boost it? I find they're a little too loose and lack some real gain until you boost them. That's when they really come alive. I can't post any cool 80s stuff because I was born in 87. :(

Thanks Steve. Most of that period was spent trying to find a good vocalist.

Here are a few of mine...my guitar is on the right. We had a lot of fun in this band.
