That's really interesting because I heard he practices stool holding during recording sessions. Apparently it enhances creativity. His tone is dialed in the way it is because all the loud bass frequencies help prevent encopresis from occurring. This was a big problem when they recorded Opiate and Undertow. The Mesa and later the Diezel was added to beef up the low end, and it fixed the problem. I'm pretty sure my source on this is reliable.Ventura":25r1hhqj said:I also heard Adam prefers 3 ply toilet paper before his recording sessions over his otherwise more usual 2 ply for everyday use.
Could play a part for sure.
I'd heard this too. I thought it was sheer speculation. But it totally makes sense.guitarobert":2gzhyljw said:That's really interesting because I heard he practices stool holding during recording sessions. Apparently it enhances creativity. This is on the cab below the infamous superbass.
Not a G12 in that cab if you believe the tape.
Well why the secrecy. Out with it.

And the amps... the marshall, and silver vh4...one day, but the blueface will probably never happen..not for lack of funds but because no one wants to sell theirs..
How much are they, individually?jonl":2epmeayu said:I know of two Original Blueface amps for sale.
Both are over seas and both are wired 220 so they would need a swap to 120 if your in USA.
One of them is pickup only, if I could I'd fly over to get it.

I was lucky enough to inherited my silverburst. My grandfather bought it in late 1982 for $2000 as a graduation gift for my dad. It sat in the window of the local music shop here in tn. The case still has the original receipt in it.
