Last few years ive done well buy/sell/trade decent guitars & amps.
But the last 2 months there hasn't been jack squat.
Anyone notice this ?

I am about to list a couple of rare ones on Craigslist, because I won't ship them and won't pay the ridiculous fees to eBay or Reverb. And the big money players/speculators have searches set for any listings of USA Washburn Dime guitars. The prices for slimes and crosses is insane,so its time to sell. Probably list them here too just to get the word out.

Will also be listing some amps soon, tho those will probably be listed here too. Way too many in the collection.

There’s been a few nice pieces popping up on my local CL. Just nothing that interests me. And the same old shit that’s been there for 3 years

I did this exactly, about this time last year - i listed two USA Dimes here just to get the word out and then the buyers were able to find me. No Reverb or eBay needed.

There is no new supply coming in, so everyone is spending their money on used gear. Most manufacturers are behind on filling orders, so it might be a few weeks to months before there is any new gear available. On top of that, the price is going up on everything (thanks to inflation), so people selling for the same old price are the bargain.

Supply and demand. People just aren’t selling their good stuff. GC has NO used inventory; neither does Music Go Round. So when you do see good stuff on Reverb/EBay it’s for double the price we’re used to. And, they’re selling. Is it because there’s no new gear supply? I doubt it; since you aren’t going to confuse a vintage Mesa Mark with a new Mark V, nor a 2203 reissue with a JMP 2203. No supply, big prices.

There was a Les Paul Standard from the 90s on CL a couple weeks ago for dirt cheap and it was gone SO FAST!!

tell me more of these amps

I dunno, I'm a total newb and have never had a "real" amp. The one I have will hang with amps 5x the price I paid.

Im sure you're better than you're letting on

But depending on which amp it is, there's no way it's hanging with stuff 5x the price, guaranteed
