Ok I'm torn. I want really want to add an exceptional super strat to my collection but I'm torn between the two builders?

I have 2 guitars I'm looking at and they both have caught my eye.

There about the same price give or take a few dollars.

Here are the pics.

first the Suhr

I've heard a lot about both these builders, but what makes their guitars so special? Seriously...

IMO when you are talking that kind of coin you have got to play it first, both Danyeo and SteveVHT have received beautiful looking Suhr guitars but both were sold due to being tone dead. Played awesome though.

I am going to side with the original, Tom Anderson.

FWIW, I was an Anderson dealer for a long time and can attest that none of the guitars I ever had in my shop were tone dead. The build quality was exceptional and they always looked friggin' great. Never had any experience with Suhr guitars.

For the record I have played Steve's other Suhr and that guitar is off the charts tone wise, freaking great guitar but was $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I like Andersons myself. The Hollow Cobra has been my favorite guitar for about 10 years now. A friend had a bunch of Suhr stuff, I played them and they were nice. They didnt make me want to sell mine though. He ended up going to Anderson and has a bunch of them.

guitars are pretty much all the same.
amps are where the magic is.

buy the guitar that looks cooler.

Oh man I can't believe you just said this???

You are a dressy bessy Core now

I was slightly joking, but..............

1. they're both super premium guitars.
2. both could be made from a piece of wood that doesn't sound perfect (like SteveVHT's)
3. Featureand build-wise, they're equally matched.

you need to either play both and choose one that sounds better, or roll the dice and take the one that you think you like better.

of those two I'd go with the Suhr only because I think anyone who covers up a nice top with a big o hunk of plastic should be shot
