Hello RT,
Welp, you know me, I am always doing comparisons.
This time, I figured the difference would be minute but I was WRONG.
I have an older thread on here where I tested a number of cables against each other and rated capacitance, yada yada.
I have always preferred Ernie Ball braided cables over everything else they went against until....
I got some Best Tronics cabling in. The 0446 I believe.
WOW.
Even when testing a shorter length of another make against the BT, the Tronics has clarity across the entire spectrum.
The EBs have a low mid oomph and a really nice,l soundstage, but sound almost muffled in comparison to the Best-Tronics cabling.
The clarity, punch and definition are apparent with these cables.
Super low noise floor too.
These do not EQ the sound as much as other cables like the Mogami golds and the like.
Very clear, level, balanced EQ that has a tight but present and full bass all the way up to the tippy top.
Again, did not expect that much of an audible difference.
It was notable through the several amps and setups I tried.
I have the patch cabling as well and am about to redo my board when I get time.
Solder, solder, solder......
Update:
I swapped out the cabling on my board last night. The difference again is audible, even at low levels. Super, super clear sound across the spectrum.
Could not be happier that I went with Best-Tronics.
If you had not heard until Best-Tronics until now, check em out!
