did you get an angled neck pocket?

Not sure what that is...

where the back plate meets the body, they grind the bodywood in on an angle (thinner on the treble side) on about a 45 deg.? to make it easier for the heel of your hand when getting access when playing above the 12th.... like an early 90s Iby???....
If I remember correctly?.....

Im gonna be the dik an say cosmetically, as much as I am insanely jealous right now, I dunno if I can stand a white body without a maple board.... Then again, many of my guitars sound like shit and yours dont, so WTF do I know??!?
It's very Metal, and again, I say, I am jealous.... and... I hate you.

I have the opposite cosmetic fetish with white guitars - I think they look better with dark boards... I do have another white guitar with a maple board though...

I saw this guitar in person. I have NEVER seen a neck with as interesting of a pattern on the fingerboard. The pics don't really show it all. It is just stunning.

I can't wait to check out the guitar Steve.

Curt is right - the pictures do not really capture what the neck really looks like...

So the angled neck pocket allows you to raise the bridge higher, no? If you don't have the angled pocket, do you still have enough play with the bridge to pull back?

I thought the angled neck pocket (had one on another guitar just makes access to the higher frets on the high E side a bit easier. I don't think it affects the bridge position. There is plenty of room to pull up the bridge with this guitar...

The angle is just that the front of the pocket has been shaved down, the back is the normal thickness and the neck is set the same way as always. Today's Charvels have that I believe, just taking some wood out for gimps like me with small hands.

I think so! That said, getting a painted guitar for $1000 these days is like the find of the century lol!!
I definitely have to check one of these out!! They look like such a killer deal!

Dude, You are speaking my language lol!! I am so un-handy that its comical!! The great thing is that my Buddy Harry is a Wiz with this stuff and he can put this stuff together blindfolded. The painting of the guitar is the hardest, so I think getting a pre-painted guitar would rule!!

yeah, I wouldn't even attempt to paint it....getting it painted does run up the cost by about $200 I think..depending on what you want...custom graphics are obviously more expensive...

I can swap speakers in a cabinet, but that's about all I'm good for =D

The Jamerson stuff is pretty incredible IMO and I found cool stuff right on eBay. Didn't have to order an wait...

True dat... There seems to be a shortage of OFRs right now... I paid $170 a few months ago and now they are getting over $200 for 'em...

Dude - it is actually really easy to put a guitar like this together. I've done it before, but I never get it quite perfect... The tricky part is getting the neck on right and that is the only reason I got a professional to do it.
