Ed had one of the best Soldano clips on HC back in the day. Want to say it was an Avenger, but could be wrong. It was one of the sickest tones I've heard, to this day..
I had an avenger . I like the tone better than an SLO by far . Regret that sell

Guess my story made it in the paper...funnily enough after that the gofund me went comatose.

Here's a quick update, my health is back to decrepit old man level I'm being self-depracating).
Still not very mobile but every day gets better.
The breathing is back to what one would expect having COPD.

So it's time to start the repairs on the flat first up sanding and varnishing floors.
I'm told it's funtastic for lungs.
As of this Wednesday it still smelled like a industrial smoke stack.

Some folks have been beyond kind to me with nit just emotional and financial support they got me some gear so that I actually can teach while I recover.
Sadly only a 1/3 of my students took me up on the offer.

Doc says I shouldn't even think to actually return to work on location til at least 2 weeks but maybe I try mid week.

Here's that news paper article plus translation into English.

A fire destroyed his livelihood: Nuremberg musician hopes for help

NUREMBERG - Ed DeGenaro was rescued from his burning apartment in the north of Nuremberg just in time. But the guitars are burnt. A catastrophe for the musician.
For Ed DeGenaro, the night of October 30 was a night of horror. A fire broke out in the apartment where he lived with his partner in the Ziegelstein district of Nuremberg. The emergency services were able to extinguish the fire quickly, DeGenaro's dogs were also rescued and the 60-year-old, who suffered smoke inhalation in the fire, is now back on his feet.

But where should he go? He can't go back to his apartment yet, the smell of burning still lingers in the air. "Even all the ventilation won't help," he says. For DeGenaro, who already has lung problems, that's not an option at the moment. On top of that, the musician has a completely different problem: his guitars, amplifiers and various other music accessories were in the apartment. Music is not a hobby for him, he earns his living with it. The basis of his livelihood as a musician and music teacher - destroyed.

DeGenaro is currently staying in a hotel and is trying to get his life back on track. The musician needs a new apartment and new equipment. He also needs clothes and everyday necessities.

A fundraising campaign is to help. His friend Ujjayinee Roy from India - who Ed DeGenaro still knows from his time in India - has launched one. "He has dedicated his life to music. Today he needs our help to get back on his feet," reads the appeal on the

The life of the well renown and loved fusion guitarist Ed DeGenaro (Ed DeGenaro) has taken a sudden turn after a fire in the apartment Ed stayed at and has strapped him of everything he owned. As a working musician he is struggling to rebuild his life and get back to normality. We talked extensively on the phone and all of this is unfortunately true.

To help him out, we just released a special Expansion set for the phenomenal 1967 Marshall Super Bass we dubbed the "REX", featuring captures with with pedals in front for warm drive and lead sounds that fit Ed's style.

More info on the Expansion set here (QC version coming tomorrow): https://www.amalgamcaptures.com/product-page/mrsh-sb67-rex-for-ed-txe

Here is Ed's demo of it on youtube:
