As Mama Celeste drones fly overhead.EXPcustom will be on the nearest street corner, propositioning passerby with, “know of any amp contractors that have never heard of Mark Cameron?” while a pizza delivery van is suspiciously parked nearby.
I'm looking forward to seeing these...New shapes?Yep, I saw the new stuff prototypes...

Don’t worry there’ll be a 30th anniversary hand wired version with built ice maker coming soonThey will never be able to touch my OG though
Absolutely zero incentive for small builders to go through the expense and trouble of the NAMM show. Unless they’re really trying to open dealer networks, which isn’t very likely and may not need the convention to do anyway. A well produced YouTube channel alone would do more good than going to the NAMM show for a smaller company. Throw in maintaining healthy buzz in social media, forums in general. All which can be done for the simple cost of hiring someone to handle it. Even Soldano stopped going there before he sold it to BAD.Seriously though, it'd be nice to see some newcomers showcasing at NAMM.
People who do things differently and get their amps into working pros' rigs. Modders, low QTY builders etc.
Headfirst, GZA, Monomyth, Hermanson, Folkenson, Gower, Lenz etc.. Bet there's high costs involved to buy a vendor pass but would be nice to hear those sounds in such events. The big bois showcased most their innovations and unique circuits 10-15 years ago.. We already know, for example, that the new Mesa mark will sound similar to its predecessor mark shown in NAMM 1984.. Let's move on.
Also, some digital innovation, not a new model of a 30yo amp that's more accurate than the amp itself.. who gives a shit (I know, I know, some really do..)
maybe a forum like this could raise some funds to send the builders contributing here to rent a stand at NAMM.. wouldn't that be noice..
I want a reissue 1 watt JMP with Jose gain mod, switchable cascade preamp for the Randy Rhoads thing, a couple voicing switches, and a built in variac lol... yup, all jammed into a 1 watt Marshall.
It's your move Marshall. Check mate.
Close second, tube driven Marshall preamp covering the "Eras" and some mods made to drive an EL34 power amp. Everyone else is doing it, why doesn't Marshall borrow from Friedman and issue it's own pedals?? Soldano should also follow suit.
I also want an updated Alesis HD24 stand alone recorder that has bypassable converters and a better screen built in. Maybe some added editing capabilities like the lanes they did in the latest version of reaper. Sort of new age tape splicing in simplified DAW, best of both worlds. That's what we need, a return to more of an outboard feeling vs endless daw fuckery.
Gibson has the P&W and C&W guys all set to film the Recto demos. Now that the Mesa Mark IIC+ Reissue is out, I wonder if Mesa will do the Rev F Recto reveal at NAMM.
Wishful thinking…. I’d love if Tom Anderson would do a 24 fret T-style guitar.
I got an HD24XR sitting here (with one SSD drive working via a SATA converter) and yeah, something like that with a more modern interface drive-wise (maybe even USB or SD cards) would be awesome. I have mine hooked up via 6 ADAT cables to an Allen & Heath GSR24 mixing desk with the FW/ADAT card, and got a little RME Digi USB box just for safety if the Alesis ever craps the bed (it will be renamed to Ambelesis HearD24XR then...).I also want an updated Alesis HD24 stand alone recorder that has bypassable converters and a better screen built in.
