the Vengeance will sound just lkike that threw the same cab, just a stripped down version,,.The Armagedon sounds killer, and doesn't take long to hit the sweetness of it,lots of stuff to tinker with, the isp is fucking cool!!!!!

Alright. So how flexible do you think it is? Sounds pretty amazing so far. Especially considering all the different amps that they are A/Bing it against and getting it to sound like. I know it's aimed squarely at the metal crowd, but do you think it will do mid-gain stuff too, as well as be dynamic and clean up with the volume knob on the guitar.

I have high hopes for this amp, and know that Egnater makes cool, cutting edge stuff. I playing though a Mesa Stiletto Deuce II half stack now, and I like it. It does clean thru brit crunch and hard rock territory, in a 2 channel format. But, I don't think it can hang with the big dogs when it comes to the high gain stuff. And its very mid-voiced, which IMHO is great for leads and not so great for rhythm stuff. And it certainly doesn't have the cool features like MIDI implementation, Built in ISP and reverb, bias points, etc etc. Ergo, the interest in the Armageddon. Plus, that matching cab is killer, especially with the mic eliminator. I will definitely put that to good use.

So, the bottom line is (sorry for the ramble) - did you come away thinking that it was a killer rock amp, and more than a metal amp?

This amp will destroy all the other GC stuff period :D It has some really cool stuff and will do mid gain if you tweak on it awhile, has a great clean too,and this was just threw a cab loaded with K100 75 mix  this is all IMHO but I would buy one in a heartbeat,I really liked it and for the price it was kinda untouchable

Awesome!
Sounds like Bruce has a Winner with this one!!

Like to check one out! :D

I ran out the door without a strap and the Q3,but I bet there will be some floating around shortly

The wait for this amp is killer. I see an Armageddon half stack in my future.

Silly question about hooking up the cab. If I were to run TWO speaker cables from the head to the cab, would it split the 412 into 2 212s stereo? Also, can you run stereo out of the XLR mic eliminator?

Egnater's Facebook page has pictures of the new Tweakers and Vengeance just posted. They look great! I assume that means release is near.

Probably unveil at Namm, and then they can start on the modular stuff :D

My guess is that they want to get them in the stores for Christmas if they are ready.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm not a super metal guy anymore, but I occasionally like to riff out to some metal stuff. I'm really hoping that the Armageddon is a great all-around rock/metal amp. I know the marketing is more for the metal segment, but I have a feeling that it will end up being pretty darn good at several different styles. Bruce makes some great, toneful stuff. Plus, the feature set of that amp is fantastic, just what I am looking for.

I really like the blue LED strip lighting too. Hope that stays on the final production model.

So far I am really impressed by the Armageddon (is that weird?). With all the cool features, it can pretty much mimic a 6505+, Triple Rectifier, Diezel Herbert, Orange Rockerverb, ENGL Fireball, 5150 III...... but also has it's own distinctive tone/character, and we're not done yet! Delivery will be early 2011. Taking a ton of care and extra time to adjust/tweak/beat-up/smash-around and get beta test models on the road before we will release for production. It will be great and worth the wait.

This is really exciting stuff! I gotta say, I'm checking back here every day to look for updates. On a strictly aesthetic note, I think Mr. Egnater & Co. hit a home run with this amp & cab. From the wicked Avenger-ish grill, to the double piping on the cab, it just looks killer. Kudos to the Egnater folks. It's so refreshing to have a manufacturer listen to consumers/musicians in the development of new amps. So many other big name companies are putting out the same-old type stuff and relying on lots of slick marketing, etc. to move the product. Egnater seems to be a different breed, committed to making quality amps with great features for a price that won't bust the bank.

Even if this latest amp turns out to NOT be my cup of tea, I applaud your efforts.

Unfortunately, the release of Armageddon/Vengeance, and the new Tweakers will not be until spring time. We will have them all at NAMM, but they won't be hitting dealers for a few months after that. The strip lighting on the Armageddon is way cooler in person than it looks in those pictures. You can't really notice it in person, but in a darker setting(like on stage), it makes the front panel have a nice glow, so you can see the controls easier. Glad to hear everyone is looking forward to these new amps though!

Just like the OP - Spring 2011, final prep & road testing - stuff like that. I think that's great. Glad to hear the strip light is staying. Nice touch.

One question Ian: On the new Armageddon cabs - are they going to have the nice (trak-lok style) removable casters like on previous cabs?

Bruce says "you only get the clean channel" LOL!

This guy is getting a little djenty with it. Sounds good and chunky IMHO. Keep in mind this is a very early prototype. According to Bruce, they've been refining it over the last year, so I'm betting it's REALLY gonna kick ass.

Any updates, news catalog info, manuals for the Armageddon? Anything???

Ugh.

Will the Armageddon (sorry but I hate this name :) ) be made in the US?

Thanks.

At that price point, I would think that yes, it's made in China. However, I also read Bruce saying that the Armageddons were supposed to be a more 'high-end' 'limited run' kind of a thing. Maybe they are outsourcing some of it, but still making it in the US. I doubt it though. Still, I've heard lots of good stuff about the Chinese GC stuff.
