I think complaints against welfare is a distraction. Imagine how much money is paid to public sector jobs that should be eliminated. There are 23 million public sector jobs at an average salary of 72k a year. Add in all the jobs that are based on gov contracts that serve no purpose but to give people paychecks.
If you eliminated 50% of public sector jobs that would take care of nearly 1 trillion in spending a year just in paycheck, not to mention all the insane pensions and benefits that go a long with those jobs.

And more importantly, what about corporate welfare? …All the farm subsidies, bailouts, “Defense” contracts, etc. Many BIG businesses would not even be in business if not for rich uncle sam. And what’s more egregious is that the CEOs of these companies are making MILLIONS, let alone some food stamps and free project housing.

True, but the sheer number of pointless public employees and their paycheck, pension and benefits probably dwarfs everything else. The budget is like 3.5 trillion and 2 trillion goes to waste, or corruption shit like sending money to Ukraine or whatever. Ever done any shit with electronics? You'll be on Mouser and get a capacitor for 0.54 cents, then look at the 'mil spec' one and its $245.45. Its so insane.

I agree. And good luck to any politician firing them…

The shit that is most annoying is that so many of them complain like they should be paid more, like teachers. Gets my goat.

Honestly I don’t think anyone will be able to right this ship. It’s gonna have to sink.

I think the same way. Pretty much fucked.

My nephew who is hip to the new ways, said they can monetize a crypto to get rid of the debt.....I have no idea if that is a possibility?

I don't think they want to get rid of the debt...I think they want to make every thing worse and transition everyone into serfdom.

Yes. They will definitely reset the state’s debt, probably large corporate as well. Small business and individual doubtful…
