Sounds great man!! What speaker box (speakers) are you playing it through??

Great tone and playing!! I am a very happy Smallbox owner myself. My stock Smallbox has all kinds of gain. I always wonder what guys are talking about when they say it does not have enough gain on tap.

Just get some real volume going and the gain is there. I mean even at bedroom volume i dont use a boost but at louder volumes its Sykes!

Thank you. Cannot say enough about this amp. My clips do not begin to do its tone justice

Love that tone, didn't know you'd got a new amp, glad you kept the Bogner though!

I agree completely. My Malmsteen Strats have weak almost mouse fart sounding DiMarzio HS3 & YJM's, and I can get metal squeals and all that out of them with Smallbox volume up to around 9:00 o'clock or higher and the gain around 1:00 on the BE channel. Lots of fat sounding tone with good sustain. I was just cranking it up the other day and playing Deep Purple's Misitreated and White Lion's Blue Monday and the amp sounded soooooooooooooo good. I do use either a Maxon OD808 or DOD250 overdrive some of the times too.

I agree 100% percent on this one also. The Smallbox is the perfect amp for what I need and I literally do not know what I could replace it with if I were forced to look for something else. The Smallbox is a relatively light, but not dinky, very powerful 50 watt EL34 driven tube head which also happens to have an outstaning master volume. It has two incredible "ultimate Marshall" sounding channels, a great loop, and it is built like a tank. The amp even sounds amazing with the inexpensive stock tubes.

I agree. Its the real deal. Gets those 60s, 70s and 80s Marshall tones and sounds soooo good doing them

This sounds like great tone from this clip. Did you order it with extra gain? I'd like to try a smallbox, they seem to have the tone I'm searching for. Thanks for the clip
Dave tweaked it for a bit more gain and added a SAT switch. With a little volume its got a lot of gain

Ah...That explains it. I tried one at GC and was kind of meh. Yours does rip and the one I played is nowhere near yours.
