Always wanted to try one, but they didn't have a loop back in the VHT days, and I'm not a KT88 fan. They do still use those, no?

Yeah I am. I don’t gig much anymore and if I do it’s with a blues based group. I did pick up a Captor X a couple years ago though so I am able to use my UL all the time at home now. I also use it to record on reaper.
I had a Kemper for a couple years but having the UL sit there unused was too much to handle! Lol
I’ve still got a couple fryette cabs though so I’m m ready for full stack action if needed!
I have a slanted fat bottom and a deliverance cab that both have the VHT branded Eminence P50E. They sound good, but I’ve usually mixed one with a mesa 2x12 or 4x12 with V90’s.What speakers do you have in those old Fryette cabs?
When I first got the VHT cabs I thought they were cheap because they were so much lighter than my mesa cabs and the casters on them sucked! Lol
I’ve since grown to appreciate their sound and I’ll definitely hang on to them since they are becoming harder to find. I think they switched from the P50’s to a different speaker some years back but I can’t remember what it was.
Congrats! Have a D60 from 2005 with choke that to be honest, i'm playing more than my Wizard MCII i also just got.
I was playing the D60 I recently got more than my MCII for a bit there, but cycled back to the Wizard and while the D60 is right up there in terms of great amps, the Wizard just does something no other amp does. Actually both amps do.
That's awesome - what types of music / bands / genres are you covering with both of those amps primarily?
I play my own riffs which are kind of a mix of things. Sort of a rock, thrash, even DM vibe to much of what I play. Haven't played a cover tune in probably 6-7 years.
Thanks man - good to know. Was just seeing what ground those two amps could cover / how heavy they can go. That is helpful they can reach up to a DM type sound. Still torn on the whole MC2 vs MTL thing.
