1997 PRS Custom 22 wide thin neck was one of the most comfortable and resonant guitars I've ever owned.

Recently I picked up a Mayones Duvell and a Regius Core. Both guitars are absolutely fantastic

Aristides raw is proving the best feeling axe I've had and fit to finish and fretwork is about the best I've encountered.

I have an '84 Charvel that has the best neck I've ever played. I have an '87 Jackson (strat) that's also excellent, but not as good as the Charvel. The Charvel is simply magical.

Luxxtone here as well. Every one I own is a dream.

Jerry is one of the best luthiers I know. He actually set up the Modern I posted at #13.

He told me that Suhr's workmanship is awesome. All he had to do is adjust the trem claw tension for the proper float with the strings I use...

My Brent Gutierrez custom. All my other guitars are kick ass, but absolutely nothing else comes close.

My 86 Jackson Strat, maple board and factory OFR is my #1. Had it now for 2 years; it was a GC score that was listed as a Model 2. Lol. My #2 is a 2009 Charvel SoCal, USA candy plum; had it for a decade. Both play themselves, and have very good tone. Like a fav pair of jeans. I've probably had 4 other 2008-09 USA Charvels that were also amazing feeling guitars...every one of those were even better than the few custom shops I've owned, and better than the 4 83-85 Charvels I had. Love the 2008-09 USA run. Fantastic superstrats.

1.) Parker Fly
2.) Vigier Shawn Lane
3.) Aristides custom with zero radius fretboard (copied the Vigier)

i believe mines an 84 too. i know Carvin gets a lot of shit, i never understood why though based on mine, it rips
I can only speak for myself but IMO their guitars tend to be ‘small’…kind of like Music Man—so as a larger human I immed discount them. And due to their direct sales model I’ve never played a new, properly set up one. The only Carvins I’ve played were honestly in pawn shops back in the 90s. Always grimed up and in desperate need of tlc. Resale is awful. No real choice in neck carve. Premium price. It’s a tough business model
