BFG Amplification clips **Updated 2/24/13**

:doh: I keep coming back to the clip of the 1987 marshall 50 watter modded ...Marshall law clip... That friggin amp has a tone that speaks to me like nothing I am hearing lately. :yes:

So is the mod Marshall law had you do to that amp available ? :confused:
Also, to get right into the same territory tone wise, would I need to have it done to the same 50 watt Marshall ? In other words what effect might it have on the tone if it was done to a 100 watt Marshall head for example.....Plexi or otherwise?

Hey Brian, I got the JCM800 1x12" combo today. I had only 20 minutes with it...on my way to work now. My 1st impression : HOLY SHIT!!!! This amp has come a long way. I'll try to use my very mediocre recording skills to get a clip up by the end of the week. This thing is a serious monster...massive amounts of gain (easily reaches SLO territory), and still very clear/articulate...it's not falling apart/getting "flubby" anymore. AND, it cleans up beautifully...a very nice chime to it. People are going to be VERY surprised when they hear it live. And then when they find out it's only a single channel amp...LOL...the look on their face will be priceless. Awesome, Thanks man.
 
Awesome...looking forward to some clips. That thing is a sleeper for sure.
 
So was this the same 1987 marshall from the 1st clip ?
Or is this another 1987 you just modded ? Details... :gethim:

Thanks man, I have been really busy and just not on here much anymore. I have some new clips coming in the near future and have made some updates to the Hammer mod as well as a few others. I have done the Hammer update to 100, 50 watt Marshall's and a Dual Rectifier and some JCA20H's and it's much heavier. More bottom end and less brightness but still cuts. The tones controls have been reworked and some new poweramp tweaks to control feel and tightness.
 
I'm now the proud owner of the Double Deuce in those clips. I've owned a ton of amps over my 50 years and I gotta tell you- Brian knows what he is doing and has the ear!
