Sure they can do what they like. And Russia has responded as it has seen fit. I don't condone it, I'm not for a war. But it was entirely predictable. If one wanted to have avoided it that would have been easy. Tell me exactly what you think Ukraine is gaining in all this, or the United States, or Australia for that matter?
