EVH has the biggest musical instrument companies and modders in the world dying to work with him.

EVH will not be working with some hack part-time amp designer wannabe and full-time poor tattoo artist.

That standby switch is a whole bunch of fucked up.

Actually the 'standby' in the schematic is a good one. It lifts the EL84 cathodes from ground, which causes (i) silence, and (ii) a big drop in power consumption. Unlike the conventional standby in the power supply, the switch won't have 300+ volts across it.

obviously I was joking. there is no chance in hell EVH would switch to blades amps. he makes a fortune off his gear, like he would play an amp with lightning bolts cut into it and a cup holder that forms condensation that leaks down into the amp electrocuting anyone who touches it!! give me a break man!

Blades IS politically correct according to what is acceptable these days. I saw a bumper sticker that said" "I love my badass attitude", which sums up this generation perfectly. If you want to be a bad ass individual, why not just rebel agains this stupid popular disease. That resistor across the gain1 pot can't be right. It'd be dumping off tons of signal. Haven't checked much past that, but it's a pretty basic Jose circuit so far.
