Vox (and others) has been using this type of chassis for decades! The AC30 chassis is made of lesser quality materials, and it holds up just fine. I know, I own one. The JMJ30 is known as the finest AC30 clone build available. Matt uses the same type of chassis on all of his JMJ30 builds. As long as the chassis is formed of a substantial grade and thickness of aluminum, it will handle the weight of the iron just fine. Once the chassis is secured to the cabinet, it's not going anywhere.

I don't know about the JMJ30 but the Vox looks like it's got "feet." In other words, it's got 4 90 degree folds. Again, maybe the pic is deceiving me, but the billy chassis looks like it's got only two 90's.

good god..........is there anything more stable than particle board?

no chassis folds here boys...........

Paypal still accepted for a few more hours.

The cup holders are almost gone.

Someone mentioned Jose mods relating to Ed's '68 Marshall... If Ed's Marshall was stock; what the hell is a Jose mod? Guy Hedrick told me Jose had replaced the stock transformers and signal caps, but that was it. He didn't say anything about a MV being installed. :dunno:

The most important part most EVH chasers leave out is that Ed ran his amps flat out on EQ and Volume in the early days , then the amp was ran into a variac dropping the voltage down.
Major changes happen to any amp when you drop voltages down with a variac , try it and you can easily hear the difference between the two .
So all these mods from simple iron / cap changes to a hot rodded high gain circuitry with bells and whistles won't get you there if they don't use it with a variac with lower voltages , they will be chasing their tales because the amp will be running at the wrong voltages .

I don't have the pic in front of me, and there are too many posts to go looking for it. I can't imagine how it would bolt to a head-box without the additional folds. It has to have at least 4 x 90 degree folds... Surface, front panel, back panel, and base with fasteners.

It looked like there were nuts glued to the corners. Seriously though, it did look like there were tabs/nuts at each corner, no idea how they were attached. It could be welded or it could be bubble gum, or the picture could be unclear.

Don't go looking for it though, that's a big hassle. I'm just looking at the picture in my head.

Blades doesn't know ol' Jose has had some issues for a while now. Next he'll have him checking his tire pressure at 3 in the morning.

So in addition to putting a supposed trademark on the Blades Cup-Grabber (tm) design disaster he also claims that his Blades Handi-Tray (tm) is also trademarked?

"World's First" LOL

That is just a speaker cabinet handle

I admit, I am he...

So you admit you run multiple accounts within forums?
No. I had one account as TheGainDeli, and was banned for warning people of Mark Cameron. I then generated a new identity, and became TrueTone500.

  Yeah right. Just off the top of my head I can remember you being thegaindeli, echodrive, 67mopar, truetone500.

And if you say you were banned what are you doing back here? Or is that more bullshit too.

*edit - Couple more of his user names on here - fucduperinchit, soldanoFan

I'll come back and put down more if they cross my mind.

This has me completely rethinking the features I offer on my hardwood cabs and pedal boards.

Maybe a makeshift toilet for when you really can't wait til the end of the third set? Drill a hole (with a bullseye around it for aiming, of course) and route a small reservoir underneath where the pedals sit to store the piss.

It's too easy now. It's like stealing a wheelchair from Stephen Hawking
